Adimmune Celebrates 60th Anniversary with Community-Focused Charity Event
Adimmune Corporation (TWSE: 4142) marked its 60th anniversary yesterday with a charity Christmas fair held in Tanzi District, Taichung, reaffirming the Company’s long-standing commitment to community engagement, public health, and sustainable development.
Chairman Dr. Chi-Shean Chan noted that Adimmune has navigated decades of challenges and transformation, evolving from a local vaccine manufacturer into an internationally recognized biotechnology company. He expressed his sincere appreciation to employees for their dedication and emphasized that Adimmune will continue to advance with the times and deepen international collaboration. The anniversary celebrations integrated blood donation events, health walks, social welfare advocacy, and a sustainability market, reflecting the Company’s ESG-centered approach to community connection and public participation. Through these initiatives, Adimmune aims to translate its 60-year milestone into lasting social impact and give back to both society and the local community.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Johnny Chiang, Vice President of the Legislative Yuan; Legislator Chiung-Ying Yang; Li-Chuan Chen, Deputy Director of the Public Health Bureau of Taichung City Government; and Wen-Hsuan Liu, District Director of Tanzi, who all offered their congratulations and support. Chiang expressed his appreciation for Adimmune’s employees, recognizing their role in supporting Taiwan through repeated public health challenges over the past six decades. He emphasized that vaccine self-sufficiency is a national mission and that the vaccine industry is of strategic importance to the country, affirming the Legislative Yuan’s full support for the sector.
Chen highlighted Adimmune as a dynamic and vital partner in epidemic prevention. She noted that Adimmune supplies more than half of Taiwan’s publicly funded influenza vaccines and has grown into an important international public health partner. Vaccines are critical strategic resources, and Adimmune’s six decades of steady growth have not only safeguarded public health but also extended Taiwan’s vaccine capabilities globally. She further commended the Company for its strong community engagement and employee well-being initiatives, describing Adimmune as a model “happy enterprise.”
This year’s anniversary activities placed special emphasis on collaboration with supply chain partners to advance charitable initiatives. The Company worked closely with local social welfare organizations to promote blood donation and sustainable consumption. Adimmune invited local farmers and artisan brands to participate in a sustainability market, creating a collaborative ecosystem among businesses, social welfare organizations, and the community. Partner organizations included blood donation centers, the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families, the Boyo Social Welfare Foundation, and the Red Cross Society, while participating supply chain partners included Yu-In Air Conditioner Engineering, Song-Chan Co. Ltd., Taiwan Pure Water Technology, KaoYian Printing, and 7-Eleven.
Founded in 1965, Adimmune is Taiwan’s first professional vaccine research and manufacturing company, with fully integrated capabilities spanning R&D, drug substance production, and fill-and-finish operations for vaccines and biologics. Over the decades, the Company has stood alongside the Taiwanese public through major epidemic challenges. Adimmune currently holds GMP certifications from the US FDA and EMA, as well as approvals from multiple countries including Brazil and Canada. In 2024, Adimmune also entered into an SMTA2 agreement with the World Health Organization, enabling rapid access to virus strains and timely vaccine production during pandemic influenza outbreaks—an important milestone in strengthening Taiwan’s epidemic preparedness through international collaboration.
